Pastor Lydia Posselt

Pastor Lydia Posselt was called to Family of God in December of 2016 and began her ministry here on Sunday January 29, 2017.   She was officially installed on Sunday April 2, 2017 by The Reverend Paul Sorcek, Dean of the Lower Bucks Conference of the Southeastern PA Synod.

Pastor Lydia Posselt grew up in Wisconsin on her parents' dairy farm. She went to Wartburg College in Iowa, a small Lutheran college, and spent her summers working on the staff of a Lutheran Bible camp in central Wisconsin. Right after college, she attended Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. Her first call took her to central New Jersey, where she spent the last five years as the  associate pastor of St. Paul Lutheran in East Windsor. She loves to travel (she's been to Europe, China, Hong Kong, and Namibia), read, drink coffee, write, sew, watch Netflix, visit family, and spoil her two cats.

Pastor Lydia has written for devotionals for Christ in Our Home, Bread for the Day, The Word in Season, and worship resources for the ELCA. In May of 2017 she was selected as the winner of an international preaching contest for the Lutheran World Federation 12th Assembly, which took place in Windhoek, Namibia.
